Global rules for species protection

"Am letzten Verhandlungstag einigten sich die Staaten der Völkergemeinschaft auf ein umfassendes Paket zum Schutz der Artenvielfalt. Ein wichtiger Punkt bei ist das „ABS-Protokol“. An important point is the "ABS-protocol. Dieses regelt den Zugang und die Nutzung der genetischen Ressourcen. This governs the access and utilization of genetic resources. Künftig werden Ländern, die diese genetischen Ressourcen zur Verfügung stellen, eine Beteiligung am Gewinn zugesichert. The OVP says it want to protect bio diversity, which is good, but if that is the case, why not protect the diversity of different groups ? including the Austrian ethnic group and fight for their preservation ?
